Diane Kruger (born Diane Heidkrüger) (born July 15, 1976 near Hildesheim, Germany) is a German model and actress. She started her career as a dancer in London when she was still young, but after an injury she changed her mind and went to Paris to become a model at the age of 15. After a while Diane became interested in acting and soon landed small appearances. She then changed her last name from the original 'Heidkrüger' to 'Kruger' to support her Hollywood career.

Meyer is said to have loved dancing and acting from an early age, but it wasn't until after she graduated from university that she started to work to become an actress. She attended Long Island University, where she majored in Business Administration. Among the hobbies and interests are snowboarding, rollerblades and biking. Meyer's film debut was in the TV film Strapped in 1993, although her role in the cyberpunk thriller Johnny Mnemonic was more important and perhaps the breakthrough. Before that, however, she also had a role in the TV series Beverly Hills 90210 as Lucinda Nicholson. In addition to Johnny Mnemonic, she has had other roles in science fiction productions, such as Starship Troopers, Birds of Prey and Star Trek: Nemesis. One of her most recent films was the 2004 horror/thriller hit Saw. She made several guest appearances on Friends and Miss Match.
